Superb. I am a citizen of Rancho Cucamonga and am totally amazed at the treasure of knowledge I have found in your amazing book. Hellman Avenue is one of the historic streets in the Alta Loma District of Rancho Cucamonga where I reside along the euctalyptus tree lines which were used as windbreaks for the vineyards. Now my home is on this land. It makes me very proud to be a part of this amazing story, witnessing the model city of Cucamonga grow into a very large satellite city of LA. New Urbanism is the future of the city and this is exciting. Finally back to what works, light rail and walking. I consider Isaias W. Hellman one of my cities founding fathers and I gush with respect for your amazing family and it's solid name. He is the reason why this area became one of the most beautiful cities in California, a shining gem. Thank you for this grand State of California and for the shining Cities of Los Angeles and Rancho Cucamonga your family have helped create. If there is one word I could use to describe Mr. Hellman it is stability.

I enjoyed reading the entire book from cover to cover - a must read for anyone interested in the hidden history of California and our founding families.

I really enjoyed your book, despite my poor memory for dates. I've lived in San Francisco and am a native Californian. So, this was enjoyable reading, and I've mentioned the book on my blog.
